Bit of a wild and wooly morning out there. The southerly has whipped up a chunky, wind-blown swell. It's either hide out in the southern corners where it's smaller and semi-protected or take your chances finding something surfable out in the full brunt of it. I chose the former and hid out from the wind and rain way down in the south corner.
Surfable? Yeah sort of...
Congrats to all the local surfers that dedicated their surfing this September to SurfAid's Make A Wave campaign. The tally stands at over $600k raised with only today to go. Looks like there'll be no shortage of swell for the weekend, only you'll have to endure a bit of wind in the process. Nothing like last Sunday unfortunately...
