Austin Ware - Solid turn on a small wave!

The pre-dawn lightning and thunder has blown out to sea and the sun is shining bright at the moment. It's a full u-turn from how the day started. I figured the rain had set in for the day and was about to dig through the archives and find some recent sunshine to post; that was until I looked out the window at 7am to blue sky. Huh?

If you wrote the morning off, the good news is you're not missing much surf. The tide's high and there's only the very occasional waist-high runner; Austin Ware was making it look way better than it was; surfers with talent like Austin tend to do that.

If you were around Manly 7 or so years back you might have caught Winston Surfshirt grooving their way through a Sunday session at El Beau Room; smooth sounds, big trombone solos and Wu Tang covers had everyone dancing in a space the size of a large bedroom. There was even that one time they rocked up on a houseboat and played to a packed out Office Sunday arvo crowd. I reckon you better get tickets to their show at The Barracks before it sells out!
