Funny little morning out on the water. Conditions are silky smooth and glassy but there's a weird bump and backwash to it. Maybe it's yesterday afternoon's onshore ruffle still bouncing around on the surface or a little high tide slosh. Either way, it made for both a lovely and frustrating shoot. Oh, and the water seems to have been tinted a deep shade of green! I swear it was a beautiful blue on the weekend. Upwelling perhaps?

This morning I teamed up with Tully White before she packs her bags and heads to LA with fellow Manly longboarder Declan Wyton for the final event in the World Longboard Tour. The competition starts 3 October on the famed Malibu Point and will be webcast at the WSL site so you can watch from home. With double points on offer the Men's and Women's titles are still up in the air and Declan and Tully are in the pointy end of the race.
