Bit of a dark ol' morning out there. The sun struggled to break through a heavy set of clouds adding a little colour high up but only allowing a small dusting of light to filter beneath.
There's a small long-period swell making it's presence felt on the south-facing beaches this morning. It's 2ft at 18 seconds but it's showing up as 3-4 foot sets every 3-5 minutes with very little in between. While there might be waves, quality is sub-par and I dare say it'll get straighter as the tide drains out.
Manly's funnest event on the water is back in town. The Manly Inflatable Boat Race returns this weekend after an extended hiatus. Blow up, dress up and set loose on the water to raise funds for Tour de Cure and Manly Adolescent and Young Adult Hospice. Event details here.
