Extreme
Plenty happening on the weather front today. The Bureau have finally declared a El Niño event and the effects are already in stark view. Sydney is under an Extreme Fire Danger today with a total fire ban. It's hot and there's a strong and gusty nor'westerly fanning dry air across The Beaches. Fingers crossed for a quiet day for the Firey's; there's a cool change and sweet relief coming early tomorrow morning.
On the ocean there's a strong NE wind swell marching in under stiff offshores. The wind is making it look very inviting but it's adding an extra challenge to the paddle-in. Fun waves if you can get yourself in the right spot.
Two events happening tonight:
SurfAid are hosting a screening of The Greatest Surf Movie In The Universe at Harbord Hotel. Ticket's Here
At the other end of town Manly Patagonia Store are hosting a screening of Farm Boys, as well as a panel discussion about growing your own. Its a free event but you'll need to register here
