Early Seach

Tough day to be back in 'the office' this morning. The pouring rain on the window woke me just before my phone alarm this morning and the view outside was grim; dark, wet, windy. Not exactly what I was hoping for. But the weather changes quickly and in the time it took to put coffee on the stove the clouds were parting over the horizon and sunrise was back on track.

The wind's up and onshore from the ESE but it's eased overnight. The swell look like it's trying to build but it looks junky and weak anywhere out of the wind. Maybe if you're super keen...

Woke up to the news that the WSL has stripped Queensland of the Snapper Rocks event and transplanted stop number 3 on the World Championship Tour up the road to Narrabeen. Been a while since Northy has been the focus of the competitive surfing world, especially for a CT event! Interestingly 3 out of the 4 Australian CT events are sponsored by Rip Curl with WA and NSW hosting two each. Oh how things have changed! Let's hope everyone get in sans-COVID and a solid east swell ramps up for the waiting periods.
