Solid
Jack about to cope one on the noggin
The swell's kicked up a notch, the wind's swung around to a sou'westerly direction and the waves are on the pump. It's no walk in the park but if you're prepared to do the hard yards and you've got the skills, you might find yourself on something very memorable indeed. It's double-overhead-plus on the beachies and the reefs and slabs are at least that size with no shortage of grunt thanks to a well-travelled TC Gabi groundswell.
Early on in his bombie session, Jack Mac snapped his board as the second wave of a four wave set broke on his head (first picture of the post). That's a big swim in through solid seas to contemplate after coping 4 waves on the head! Got to pay to play!
Outlook for the next couple of days is a slow easing of swell with lighter, but less favourable, winds.
