TC Gabi

Declan swinging off the bottom

After a false start yesterday morning, TC Gabrielle's swell started to fill in late in the evening yesterday and this morning is pushing in with force. It's double overhead on the sets and looking a touch raw with the stiff southerly wind adding local energy to the sea state. There was a moment his morning when the wind nudged a touch over to sou'west but it's back to south now and forecast to swing a little east.

With the swell straight out of the east, even South Steyne had plenty of grunt, adding some extra challenge to the usual Cabbage Tree Bay swim course. Looked like most swimmers running the Manly Point gauntlet were strong ocean swimmers but there were some hairy moments just the same.  T

If surfing is on your agenda there's no shortage of swell, you'll just need to find something to suit your mood. All forecast's seems to indicate the swell's still building into tomorrow. Take care out there.
