Tuesdays after a public holiday are usually pretty quiet. But with conditions small and uninspiring to most, it was dead out there at first light this morning. Just myself and Tully White floating around in the brine for the first 45 minutes. It wasn't amazing but it was a good reminder just how many waves are surfable when you're the sole surfer in the line up.
This week is looking like a good week for a snorkel. A sleepy ocean and light offshore winds should polish up the water clarity to close to its best. For the optimist surfer, a little hope lies in a small bump in south swell for Thursday. Otherwise, get your snorkel and masks out... maybe the whale will make a return to Cabbage Tree Bay!
