Corner Light
Dawn Swim Run
There's only a handful of weeks in the year when the sun's far enough north in the sky to light up the southern corners of Manly at sunrise. For most of the year, the headlands of Manly Point and Fairy Bower block sunrise leaving the dawn swimmers in a cool shadow chasing the sun. With the water temp a reported 15.1 degrees off South Steyne, I reckon the early sunshine would have added a little comfort to the dawn dip today.
We've got incredible swimming conditions at the moment, take any chance you get for a swim; it's as good as it gets. Clarity is amazing and the temperature is cool but easily manageable. There's a tiny bit more swell on the ocean today too so if you're in need of a paddle, there should be something to slide into up The Beaches, just pack as much foam as you've got. Enjoy!
