Cool Spring

First Out

It's the first day of spring but it felt cooler than the majority of the winter morning's out there today. That was one of the mildest winters I can remember with only a handful of cold mornings and hardly a south swell to talk about. With that said, a southerly change came through Sydney yesterday and there's a bump in south swell following up the coast. We should start to see a decent bump this afternoon and through tomorrow.

I snuck out early this morning with the idea of trying to catch that setting supermoon in the west. We only got a couple of glimpses of it between clouds but stumbled upon some fun little log waves as the moon set and the sun rose.

Tully & Declan are surfing in the round of 16 at the WSL Longboard tour event at Bells today. The forecast for the final day tomorrow is looking good so fingers crossed our local contingent is part of the action.
