George

First things first, a huge congratulations to North Steyne's George Pittar who made his presence known on surfing's world stage over the weekend. George donned the wildcard jersey and began a destructive run through the top 40 ranked surfers while delighting in Margaret River Mainbreak. He scored some of the highest waves scores and heat totals of event before a freakish perfect 10 by John Florence eventually knocked him out in the semi. Notably, if he'd been in the second semi he would have snuck into the final with his 14.87. What an effort!

The wind, rain and wild weather is behind us in Sydney and it's looking like a decent week ahead; 27 degrees and sunny tomorrow.  Wave wise, there's a little bit of mixed swell as 1-3ft from the south and east today. It's small but surfable and it'll probably much the same for most of the week.

Link at Arbor Skateboards is rolling up the roller door for a warehouse sale this weekend. I remember Arbor from back in my surf retail days and they're truely some of the best and most beautiful skateboards around. Be ready at 9am Saturday for the best deals!
