:: Afternoon Living

The afternoons in the Maldives are magic. Usually the late session is your third surf of the day, the body's warmed up and limber and you've had your fill of waves already so the vibe is tropical, any wave you get is a bonus. Yesterday's we dropped into Sultan's late in the afternoon. At 2ft, it's a cruisey right that runs down a small teardrop shaped island lined with palms. Our dhoni (small Maldivian boat) anchors up in the channel with an esky full of beers, a refreshing reward to sign off after your last day of the day. It's pretty good living.

Look's like Sydney's in store for some wild weather and a mega Nor-East swell over the weekend and into next week. A rare event indeed!
