Gold Plated
Freshwater Gold
Another stunner morning for the Friday dawn dwellers. This time a gold plated ocean greeted the day as the sun pushed past some heavy clouds out to sea. The right mix of clouds and light always adds a little colour and texture to the scene and this morning the mix was just right.
Some fun waves about. Wind's light now and should be light and variable most of the day.
With Queenscliff to North Steyne off limited with the NSW Surf Life Saving Championships happening it's going to be a couple of weeks of flying the coop and looking further afield or getting friendly with the neighbours.
How's this story about how a 10ft Gun lost last year at Wedding Cake Island in a huge swell found its way home to the owner 300 days later. Extraordinary!
Happy International Women's Day to all the women and girls out there. Let's hope for a future of love, respect and equality in the surf and beyond.
We've got a lovely stretch of weather ahead!
Enjoy!
