Cabbage Tree Bay
This morning felt a little like summer, it was only the 6:41am sunrise that gave it away as mid-August. I rolled out on to the beach with a northerly wind pushing my bicycle and I south - that's how summer feels.
The onshore and low-tide were doing zero favours for surfers so I figured I'd roll with the wind and go spend a morning up around Cabbage Tree Bay. We're so lucky to have that beautiful little reserve to play in! Could you name a more abundant and diverse pocket of sealife within the city limits of a major city anywhere else on the planet? It was good reminder to spend a little more time there this summer.
Today's going to be windy and warm - 22 degrees. Don't worry, winter'll be back over the weekend.
