Anticipation
Relative
It was probably one of the most anticipated mornings of waves in a while. The forecasters were calling a solid nor'est swell groomed by a stiff overnight offshore change had all the hallmarks of a classic day of waves on The Beaches. Whether or not the morning lived up to all the froth and hype might have been relative to your degree of luck or skill.
There were certainly some good ones about but it's a fine line between too fast and getting tubed and an even finer line between being in the right spot and watching the wave of the day roll through empty. I dabbled; threw my hat in the ring; had a paddle and arrived back on the sand máso o menos. Fresh south swell tomorrow... let's see how that pans out.
Tomorrow the M/SF/T + World Meets Spring Clean Carpark Sale is kicking off at 9am. Those guys know their way around a fashionable t-shirt and pants combo so be sure to get in early for the best selection. Want more details? Click here.
