Keyhole

Keyhole

All things considered, it's actually pretty surfable out there this morning. 3 metres of south swell often means straight refracted swell on our stretch of sand making it one big closeout from end to end. While it's mostly closeouts today, there's enough kinks and rips in the sandbanks to open a narrow keyhole of opportunity for those that know where to look.

We're on our way to low tide so I dare say that opportunity is probably shrinking by the minute. There swell should be hanging around for a couple of days or so.

A bit of news and housing keeping:

  • Tomorrow morning the Manly Freshwater World Surfing Reserve is being relaunched. 14 years after the ceremony a new committee has been formed and new ambassadors are in place to act as custodians of this special area in the world of surfing. Get up to date and involved!

  • MALDIVES IN MAY - There are still places available onboard the Carpe Diem for a boat trip through the Maldives Central Atolls in May. If you're keen, get in touch ASAP. Details here

  • Congratulation to Declan & Tully who took out the Men's and Women's events at the recent WSL Regional Longboard Event at Burleigh Heads. How good to have two Manly surfers on the podium!

Japan was really amazing, but it's always good to be home.
