Warmth

Two

It's been warm for winter these last few days. 24 degrees yesterday felt like a summer afternoon all day long; t-shirts, board shorts, picnic's in the sun etc, etc. Not bad for the middle of winter... or maybe it IS bad. An ominous sign of things to come with El Nino knocking on the door...I guess we'll see.

There's a tiny bit of leftover swell out there this morning. The loggers had the jump but every now and then a punchy little right ran through the line up for the grommets to rip 3 or 4 turns to the beach. Remarkable how these featherweight rip the bag out of 1 footers!

The Manly/North Steyne crew have enjoyed a good start over at the US Open of Surfing over in Huntington Beach CA. George Pittar had an energetic start to his campaign in the Round of 80 while Declan and Tully both won their heats in the first event of the World Longboard Tour. Keep your eye on heat times and tune in. Replay experience here
