The East Coast Low is still slowly making its way down the coast and is expected to cross to land sometime today. Western Sydney is already experiencing significant flooding and judging by the swell the beaches are going to cop some damaged today as well. These kind of storms events seemed to be a rarity but with the current LaNina and a global climate ramping up the energy in the atmosphere we may have to get uncomfortable accustom to them.
I took a wander about the beachfront this morning ducking a weaving incoming showers and a surging tide. The swell's mega and it's certainly packing a punch! It's a rare bunch that get excited about surfing this kind of storm swell. There's a few out at Fairy Bower and the bommie might get a little interest later as the tide drops... take care out there!
