Both Sides
I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see offshore conditions again. I've been holding on to a thread of hope that I'll wake up one morning to a light offshore and an ocean groomed smooth and silky. It's been a while since we've seen those kind of conditions and they eluded us again today. Instead, the northerly was up early and it's a ruffled looking ocean to greet the dawn. The good new is there's a decent little wind swell running.
I took a gander on both sides of the headland this morning to see where was offering up the best of the conditions. While the sunrise over Freshwater was a beauty, the surf seemed to be bigger and cleaner on the southern side. Just the kind of punchie little wedges for the high-performance set.
A change coming later? We'll have to wait and see...
