Linger
Dawn Tones
February has a way of getting away from you. You think you've got a week left to play then all of a sudden it's gone and with it, the end of summer. While today might be the last offical day of summer I get the feeling like the warm weather will linger on. We're on for 32˚ today with a warm weekend in the high 20's.
There was no shortage of people getting out and about this morning for the final summer sunrise of the season. Waves were small, friendly and accommodating of a sizable crew at Freshie.
This Sunday is Harbord Hotel is hosting a special screening of Waterman, the story of Duke Paoa Kahanamoku's life as a swimmer, surfer, world traveller and custodian of aloha spirit. The screening is part of a beach clean up in conjunction with Surfrider Northern Beaches and Manly Freshwater World Surfing Reserve. Starts 4pm Sunday - Tickets & details here.
