Backstreets
The first thing I saw at the beach this morning was a kite flapping in the wind - that's bad news for those, like me, that are restricted to a more conventional version of surfing. It's not ideal for photography either.
So, rather than waste this gorgeous autumn light on a retrospective, I thought I'd take a different journey to the norm and wander down the backstreets of Manly. At this time of year the light falls very nicely on the North facing building and trees. It's much more photogenic than an ocean all chopped up by the nor'easter.
Tomorrow the northerly is with us once again, but it'll whip up a punchie little short period wind swell and, hopefully come Thursday morning, there'll be a brief window of offshore to make it's all smooth again.
