Ephemeral

Pause

These kind of mornings where the dark blends with the soft light of dawn make for the best pictures. It's not the images from the postcards but there's a subtle, soft beauty to the ephemeral interplay between sky and sea making them all the more special.

This morning the ocean was mostly still with only a hint of a long period south swell hidden beneath a full tide. It made for perfect swimming conditions however if surfing was on your agenda you were probably put off; maybe have another look at mid-tide.

If you're not already following, I'll be posting a few more pictures to Instagram later in the day that didn't fit the format here. As usual, all pictures from the daily posts are available as prints by emailing me or clicking this link. We make all the framed prints in the heart of Manly at Frame Room on Market Lane.
