Early Access
If your alarm went off anytime around 5am this morning you might have scored yourself exclusive early access to a near empty beach. It was a grey and damp start to the day, not the kind of morning that rouses you out of bed at any sort of a pace. But it was surfable and as the morning progressed plenty came out of the woodwork for a paddle.
It's not pretty on the Tasman this morning but there's a consistent flow of nor'east wind swell fanned by a light onshore breeze. Just enough face to get a little travel on and barely enough punch to flare a little fin waft. Team QBC were making it look better than it was as they sharpened the skills for the next round of Inter-Boardrider Teams Events.
Tomorrow the nor'east wind swell continues in the morning before a southerly flow starts to build in the afternoon. Let's see how it pans out over the next few days.
