My first trip out the door was abruptly halted before it even began. With what looked like a bit of colour starting to glow in the east, I took one step outside and promptly retreated as the first downpour of the morning unloaded above me.

Fresh Coffee. Walk Dog. Quick Swim.

Attempt number two was not without raindrops but I managed to get some frames in the can before the 10:30am downpour hit.

The good news in this weather is that the swell's up from the ENE and there's truckloads of peaky, jumbled swell. It's bumpy but the faces are mostly smooth and there's enough energy to keep the whole line up busy. Today's going to be moments of showers, squalls and patchy sunshine. Worth a peek I reckon.
