Sippin' Coffee

A little bit of size…

If you set your alarm all amped for a heavy dose of southern ocean energy this morning you might have ended up sipping coffee and chasing seals like me. There's definitely a little more push out on the Tasman but it's well short of expectation, even at the more exposed reefs and headlands; it was barely nudging head-high at first light. The wind's a little lighter than anticipated too with 10 knots from the SSE so expect a light crumple where ever you end up surfing. The good news it that the Port Botany Waverider Buoy is trending upwards so there might be some more juice left in the tank.

If you've been following Reg the New Zealand Fur Seal's adventures you'd know he's be checking out all the real estate along Sydney's Northern Beaches for the last month or so. This morning he was inspecting the South Curl Curl corner where he had 100m of prime beachfront cordoned off to himself - talk about VIP treatment! Not sure whether all steep banks and soft sand was his jam though, I reckon he'll be back at Freshy in no time at all.

Enjoy your day. Let's hope the prospects for waves tomorrow hold true.
