Ramped
The south swell has really ramped up overnight. The mellow log waves of the past couple of days have given way to chunky overhead sets out of the south. Looks like there's some proper energy to this new swell too. The banks right now are a maze of shallow sand, deep gutters and strong rips; it's a tricky proposition making any sense of the line up.
I just had a glance at the Bureau's forecast for Sydney and it's pretty much all sunshine. What?! I can't remember the last time I saw five sunshine icons on the same page on at the BOM. Let's hope the rain eases out west for all those flood-affected folks in regional NSW and VIC; sounds like it's been tough out there.
Bring on the sunshine!
