Transitions
Autumn is probably my favourite of all the seasons. While transition is constant throughout the year, it's a little more obvious in Autumn as the warmth and humidity of summer begins to give way to the cooler, crisper weather patterns of winter. You get these days of east-north-east swells and light variable (sometimes offshore) winds where the haze of summer has blown out to sea and it's warm enough for boardshorts, even at dawn.
At this time of the year it's almost like the morning's belong to winter but the days are still summer; that's a good combo I reckon!
This morning was a nice one. Colourful sunrise, good stream of east swell and just a light offshore wind. The grommets were up well before sunrise refining their act for the regional surfing titles on The Beaches from tomorrow. Good luck grommets!
