:: Back Beachside

Good afternoon to you.  Heard it's a rainy one back in Sydney.  Same here on the Jersey Shore first thing this morning however by 10am the clouds had left, the wind swung offshore and it was a great day of surfing. I spent most of the day surfing and shooting film on a old Nikonos IV - Designed by legendary waterman Jacques Cousteau.  All that time at Eddie Adams Workshop had me amped to get in the water and have a little experiment with some good old fashion slide film.  It'll take a few days before I see any results; fingers crossed.  In the mean time I shot off a couple of frames with the faithful and instantly rewarding digi SLR.

The Workshop finished up yesterday in Up State New York and it was well worth the journey from Sydney.   We had presentations from the best photographers in the world, among them 6 Pulitzer Prize winners.   If you're interesting in submitting an application to attend in 2013 or you want to get the full story, come and see me when I get back into Sydney.  I'd be happy to share any advice and insights.

I just checked the Sydney swell report for tomorrow.  Wow!  Have you seen it?  Swell's forecast to rise dramatically up to a possible 12 feet by the afternoon and evening!! That's big!!  I'll be keeping an eye on it and we might even have a few pics from Manly on a special post tomorrow.

PANCREATIC CANCER WALK Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates among cancer patients and yet it remains under the radar and underfunded.
