:: Winter Noir
It's seriously cold out there today! 8 degrees now and we're only going to reach a top of 12 degrees in Sydney. The Blue Mountains have turned alpine with a dumping of snow, the heaviest in 40 years. Down on the beach there's a stiff Westerly blowing straight off the frozen interior adding a wind chill that's not much above zero. If you were in the water this morning you're ear's might need a thaw. This morning I took a swim, more to shoot the dark, rich light than the waves. The South Swell is up a touch but it's fast and straight at Manly. It's going to jump up to 8ft+ by the afternoon but it's dead South and wind will be howling.
