It's a wild one out there this morning! 

Thunder, lightning strikes and heavy bouts of rain rattling the windows But, with most of the heavy storm activity happening just offshore we've got a nice little window of lighter, semi-offshore (Sou-West) wind hugging the coastal fringe. 

From absolute calm over the weekend, this storm has whipped up a 4m SSW swell that's marching up the Tasman. Most of it is going past us but what swell there is angling in to our part of the beach is holding up surprisingly well. It's not too bad considering the conditions!
