Yesterday's sunshine was brief! Come to think of it, I can hardly remember the sun coming out at all - was it all a dream?

I hit the beach early this morning ducking and dodging showers in an attempt to snag a couple of frames of some fairly average surf - in hindsight I should probably have put coffee on the stove and got straight to work.

If you want to know what it looked like at Queenie this morning jump on over to Instagram and you'll see the single frame - probably won't motivate you to go surfing.

I spent the last couple of hours sifting through the Terabytes for some inspiration to fill your inbox and I stumbled on this unpublished session from Saturday 3 June this year.  On this particular day I remember I had had a shocker! I had less than an hour to shoot, I'd brought the wrong lens port for my housing and I only had my back-up flippers to contend with a super strong current washing over the reef at Winki. But the waves were kind of pumping... sometimes you've just got to make do with what you have and jump in! In the end I'm pretty stoked with the way it turned out... all things considered.

There's waves tomorrow (and a bit of wind too)!
