If you were up at first light this morning you might have written the surf off for the day; there was a light Easterly blowing making it less than appealing. But by 6:30am the wind dropped of completely and it's slowly swung around to the west making for offshore conditions. The last time I checked it was a very light Sou-Westerly. Compared to yesterday's big Southernly blow, this morning it's like sheet glass. If you're a grommet on school holidays or you've got time for a lunchtime paddle it'd be worth your while to get into it's while the winds are light. Tomorrow we're in for another big Southerly buster.

Tomorrow night local Artist Ben Brown is opening a solo show at the Manly Art Gallery and Museum. We caught up with Browny for a chat yesterday. Check it at Local Focus online.
