:: Straight Jacket

It was cold and dark down on the ocean this morning.  Heavy clouds blocking the sun out on the horizon and a chilly Westerly wind biting at the skin; if there was any doubt it was time to bust out the steamer this morning's probably put that to rest.  The sun's out now but it may well be the last we see of it this week; the forecast is pretty grim. At North Steyne to Queenscliff the waves are straight; probably a combo of more South Swell and super shallow banks.  If you were able to find enough face to do just one turn on a wave then you scored!  I took a drive over the hill to Curly and the banks seem to have weathered last week's storm far better than Manly.  It's worth a drive if you want to get the most out of this run of swell.
