:: South
A fresh South Swell started filling in around midday yesterday and although there's plenty of push to it this morning, we're missing the full brunt of it. Word on the street is it's 4-6ft around the corner at the more exposed beaches so it might be worth a drive North or South. There's 2-4 feet of mostly closeouts on Manly Beach with the odd gem popping up if you're in the right place. This is the second decent South Swell we've seen in as many weeks and although it's not an ideal swell direction for Manly it's good to see plenty of energy coming out of the South as we head into the Winter swell season. The water temp has dropped a couple of degrees from last week and with the cold Sou-Wester blowing it's really starting to feel like Winter!
It's going to be a big week in Manly with The Shop Next Door and O'Neill Australia throwing the O'Neill Manly Style Launch Party on Wednesday night and The Taste of Manly Festival running throughout the weekend. More details closer to the events but make sure you leave space in your social calendar.
