Solstice Glass

Jarrad coiled

Welcome to the Winter Solstice. You've got exactly 9 hours and 53 minutes of daylight to get your fill of activities done. Minus the work hours away from that and it doesn't leave much time for surfing now does it. Still, almost 10 hours of daylight on the shortest day of the year - we've got it pretty good! Spare a thought for the Londoners; they'd barely get 10 hours of sunlight in a whole Winter!

The conditions are pretty good today.  Right now there's the lightest of offshore winds keeping the sea super glassy and the swell is still an easy 3 to 4ft. The tide seemed super low this morning but maybe it's because all the sand's been washed out, it was an easy wade out to the outside bank.

Tide's on the way in - I reckon I'm going to take advantage of the daylight and give it another look.
