:: Sharky

The shark siren rang out over Queenscliff Beach this morning sending half the line up to shore whilst a handful enjoyed a less crowded surf. Would you stay out? 7 times World Surfing Champ Layne Beachley stayed out and she's spent half her life in the surf here and across the world. Layne knows the risks and the difference between a shark and a dolphin. I didn't see any sharks but the guys I talked to were pretty adamant there was one or two thrashing and feeding out wide of the surfers and dolphins. There was a big pod of dolphins chasing fish and feeding in the bay and let's face it, they share the same diet.

So, if you're still up for a paddle, there's 2-3ft of South groundswell and just a light Nor-Easter ruffling it. Just watch out for the man in the grey suit!
