Savings

Beach Foliage

I'm on the northern side of the Queensland/NSW border where the sun still rises at 5:30am. Daylight Savings hasn't made it to these parts yet so you can surf, grab a coffee, salute the sun and read a book, all while you wait for the working week to kick off. Needless to say I missed sunrise, I guess I'm still tuned in to Daylight Savings (or at least my alarm is).

The wind's northerly up here on the Goldy this mornings and there's only a weak little east wind swell running. Even the fine sandbanks of the Gold Coast's open beaches were struggling to serve up anything of quality. The wind's swinging nor'west later in the day, the water's 26 degrees and it's going to be 32 with an afternoon storm.

Time to head south of the border....
