Don't be too quick to write-off surfing today.  Sure it looked pretty average down there this morning with the leftover effects of the overnight onshore, but as I was leaving the beach this morning the wind was just starting to fan the back of my tee shirt.   A quick check of the bureau website just now confirms the Nor-West direction and with plenty of swell about there's a ton of potential. Might be worth a second look.
