Poolside
No relief for surfers this morning; it's so tiny out there it hard to see waves let alone ride them. It's been a while now since we've had a decent swell, I can't remember when actually. Yesterday there was a little bit of light relief with a small pulse of NE wind swell popping up through the fog but it's gone again this morning and we're back to the doldrums. The best you could do this morning was to jump in for a swim to throw the arms over. If you headed in to Manly from out in the 'burbs over the weekend you were probably pretty disappointed with what you saw. Manly and most of the Northern Beaches were covered in a thick layer of marine fog for most of Saturday and Sunday. It was so thick at some stages you couldn't see the surf from the beach. Meanwhile just a few hundred metres in from the beach it was sunshine and 30degrees! It was really quite bizarre. There's a few images up on the Sprout Daily Facebook page if you want to check it out.
Weather's looking pretty average for the week ahead but we may just see a slight increase in energy out there in the Tasman. Fingers crossed for something surfable!
