Swimming Pools at Namotu is one of those breaks that comes alive in conditions that aren't the norm. It needs winds almost exactly the opposite to the Southerly trade winds and a decent amount of swell for the break to come alive. Yesterday afternoon it all came together, light Northerly winds, a rising swell and beautiful afternoon light; not to mention an all-star cast in the line up. Just the kind of session any photog would be stoked to be part of. This morning there's a bit of wind spoiling the party at Cloudbreak and the big jump in swell hasn't happened just yet. Fingers crossed for the late afternoon session. :: Murray
