:: Out To Sea

The South Swell that's been whipped up by the Southern Tasman Low Pressure system is finally starting to get itself sorted.  The last few days have been wild with the protected corners the only option.  Today there's some structure to the swell and there's plenty of power marching in from the South. I jumped in for the swim under the cliffs at The Bower and managed to get a couple of frames in the box before being washed back to shore.  The waves out beyond Bower are thick, powerful and unpredictable.  It takes a fair slug of knowledge and prefect technique to run the line fine between glory and disaster out there.  No wonder the local crew that surf the place all the time are so dedicated to the wave.
