:: Offshore Early

A rather pleasant surprise greeted those up for the early this morning; offshore winds! How's that! First time in a long time we've had smooth surface conditions in the morning and there was a neat little ENE swell making for some fun waves. The early high tide wasn't doing the shortboarders any favours but it was ideal conditions for the logs. The banks look to be in pretty good shape but they're pretty tide dependent. Looking forward to seeing what the world's elite surfers can make off them next weekend. The wind's still offshore from the WSW now so if you missed it this morning go grab your log while you can.
