:: Light & Shadow
You couldn't ask for better shape and placement of the clouds that hung on the horizon this morning. It really was an immaculate sunrise with light and shadow cast in equal amounts. With tiny waves on offer I took the chance for a drive up the Northern Beaches for a change of scene. The peninsular is so unique and beautiful and each stretch of sand has its own characteristics and mix of rock, cliff, sand and water. On any other stretch of coast in Australia the whole peninsular would be a treasured National Park. The waves are small out of the East but the wind is light and the water's a toasty 24 degrees. There really wasn't much happening surfing-wise anywhere I checked up the Beaches but I did managed to squeeze a small surf in back home at Manly. Reckon Manly's getting the best of what's on offer today. Much the same tomorrow - I'll catch you then. ∆ Murray
