:: Lakey Peak
Lakey Peak would be a drawcard of a wave on its own. It's the right mix of challenging and accommodating; go right for a short intense tube or left for a pitching take-off followed by second thick bowling section. Depending on size and tide, both the left and right is capable of serving up waves from novice to expert. The highlight of my time at Lakey Peak was watching the contrasting but equally effective approach of 'CT surfer Julian Wilson alongside stylists Harrison Roach and Zye Norris. These guys skills are so refined that watching these guys surf perfect 4-6ft lefts and rights was a Masterclass in timing and positioning.
I'm back in Sydney this morning but there's a backlog of posts to come from our short trip to Indonesia.
