:: Into The Swing

Yesterday's solid East Swell has eased a bit overnight and it's lost some of its shine after a night of 15kts SSE winds. There were some solid waves charging through North Steyne last night right out front of the contest site. Fun for the surfers but the swell was obviously causing some nerves for the organisers as they raced to sand-bag the beach to protect the skateboard bowl.

There's still plenty of punch to the swell this morning but finding yourself in the right place looks tricky. A handful of local contenders were out front of the contest site this morning getting a feel for what could be on offer this time next week during the Australia Open of Surfing. Swell's going to ease a touch tomorrow but the winds should be lighter. See you tomorrow.
