Early Winter

Gee it was cool down the beach this morning.  The Sou-Westerly was finding its way through every fiber of my hoody and the woolen beanie on my noggin.  Mind you the water is still a relatively balmy 21 degrees so you know where you're better off. Spend some time in the water today; if you can. It was a morning in two halves this morning.  First the grey overcast cold transitioning via a brief rainbow to the stiff southerly that blew in with clear skies and warmth (if you managed to escape the wind).  There's a surprise pulse of South-East swell on the beach too with a handful of fun waves on offer.  I think the swell caught a few off guard but by 9:30 it was business as usual; packed to the rafters.
