Catch that rise this morning? I missed the deep pink at the heart of it and just made it to the beach as the sun rose up in to some heavy clouds. I might have missed the early colour but what was left of the light was deeply contrasted and moody, not a bad consolation if you like your photography a little on the darker side of the light meter.

There's still swell about this morning and the low tide was serving up some shallow pitching lips; the perfect canvas to sharpen your floater act. If you see any sunshine out there today soak it up, we're in for a weather change in Sydney and there's some serious rain on the cards; potential for 100mm tomorrow!
