Clouds are Back
It's been classic clear sky winter weather of late but this morning the clouds are back along with the waves. It's small but surfable at Queensie and perhaps a touch bigger at south facing beaches. This morning's cloud added a little interest to the sunrise although now it looks like the clouds have set in thick and heavy. According to the BOM there's a SE change on it's way which will bring light winds and the possibility of rain for the rest of the week. The good news is that it'll bring a little bit of swell to keep us all active. Tomorrow morning we're handing Sprout Daily over to the capable trigger finger and eclectic eye of David Maurice Smith. Dave is a local emerging documentary photographer who relocated to Manly from the peaks of Whistler, Canada in 2010. Since then he's worked on a whole host of projects in Australia and been nominated as a semi-finalist in the prestigious Moran Prize for contemporary Australian photography. Dave is heading to New York City in September to complete a project he started in 2010 documenting the Roots of Hip Hop in NYC. It's a little different from Adventures of the Early Birds in Manly but just as vibrant and colourful. If you want to be part of the project check out Dave's "crowd funding" project page or connect with Dave on Facebook.
