There's a neat little bump in East swell today and it's likely to hang about for the next day or so before a fresh round of south swell kicks in late tomorrow.

From what I can see on the forecast sites, it doesn't look like we're going to have any shortage swell for at least a week. Ahh Winter...  that's why we look forward to you during those flat weeks of summer..

With a new swell direction comes the question of whether it'll be well matched to the current sand bank configuration. From my experience swimming this morning, I'd say the sand was a little off. I found myself drifting in and out of rips while waves broke in seemingly random spots around me. Maybe the tide was just too high, maybe I was a little out of sync... might have  another look mid-morn.
